Some say cornhole dates back to the 14th-century Germany, where a cabinet maker saw kids throwing rocks into holes and made a safer version with bags and wooden boards. Another theory has said corn hole goes back to Native American tribes played a similar game using pig bladders filled with beans. Around the 1970’s and 80’s cornhole became well known after originating in Cincinnati Ohio where those took wooden boards with a hole and bean bags filled with corn.
Cornhole has become a popular lawn game best known for being apart of cookouts, tailgates, and parties. Cornhole has become so popular that they have created an American Cornhole Organization (ACO) and American Cornhole League (ACL). Now there are national tournaments, professional players, and even cornhole events streamed on ESPN.
